When I was working years ago laying concrete landscape curbing, the most difficult part was curbing around trees.  The machinery could not make the tight curves necessary and I would always end up having to hand trowel.
To alleviate this, I built forms to pour concrete into.  The resulting rings were a hundred pounds a piece.  These were a bit cumbersome.  Then I discovered that certain plastics could be just as strong and durable as concrete at a fraction of the weight.  Add to this the unlimited color possibilities, and Signature Tree rings were born.
